departure from frisco for yosemite park
picked up the rental car from Avis (a giant minivan for 6 people plus luggage, unlimited mileage at a cost of €1,020, or rather it cost us €170 per person) departure for Yosemite but we made an intermediate stop in Stevinson where a friend of Helen's lives, raising horses on a ranch...not bad for a former accountant from Bologna, eh!) we spent the morning at the ranch and in the afternoon we set off again for Yosemite. total km traveled: 320 the park pass costs $50 (one pass per car) but it's valid for all American parks for a year. in Yosemite we had booked from Italy 2 triple rooms in a lodge (you'd better book because the lodges are always packed) Cedar Lodge in El Portal, triple room $120 ($40 per person) with breakfast included a little inspection tour and overnight stay
