OUR DESTINATION THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.... OUR GOAL CALIFORNIA..... OUR DREAM..... REACHING HOLLYWOOD

28 OCTOBER 2005 00.30 AM: Our journey is about to begin, alarm at 00.30 and off to Bologna where the direct flight to London Gatwick awaits us... My brother Mauro and I can't sit still any longer, we've been waiting for this day for a good 3 months.... arrived in Bologna after 3 hours on the motorway at the wheel in very thick fog we finally begin our holiday... the camera switches on.. our journey begins... before leaving for London we comment on and film our moments of exasperated desire to leave.... 123... off we go..... destination LONDON.... In London we are greeted by rain..... but who cares, we've already imprinted in our heads the scorching sun and the wonderful Californian beaches.... after the transfer to Heathrow... here we are boarding flight BA823, estimated flight time 15 hours, destination Los Angeles - ca.

Here we are on board the Boeing 747-400 British Airways, first class (well, it seems more than logical to us)......... 321 take-off, destination the States, HOLLYWOOD heeeeeerrrreeeee wwwweeeeeee coooooommmmmmeeeee... After a good 15 hours of flight spent between our laughter, champagne (we got nicely tipsy) and various comforts that British Airways kindly and, let's say, with great professionalism offered us, we begin to glimpse the wonderful skyline of Los Angeles, immense.!!!!! Our arrival at LAX is too beautiful damn... I say to my brother... we're in Los Angeles on the other side of the world damn... (these words charged us up enormously) our holiday in California begins in style..... after driving along the 101 of Los Angeles towards Hollywood, practically right outside the taxi window between photo snaps and videos we reach our hotel (motel)..

the American Best Value Inn located on Sunset Blvd... nice, perfect just like a real American motel. Having now arrived at our destination at sunset, we were able to immortalise ourselves on the famous Sunset Boulevard with its very tall palms and a fairytale sunset..... (SOMETHING TRULY BEAUTIFUL) We have our first meal in the States at Burger King... hamburger with Angus steak...:)... after a short nighttime stroll on Sunset Blvd (and it's better not to go out here at night!! trust me) we return to our small and welcoming motel where, as soon as we hit the bed, we collapse exhausted... but you can't imagine how much adrenaline we had in our bodies... our happiness was over the moon.... 29 OCTOBER: Day 1 LOS ANGELES 5.30 AM: our alarm goes off early, the desire to explore and savour Los Angeles is enormous.

As soon as we leave our room, to bid us good morning there is a beautiful sunrise that begins to warm the fascinating Sunset Blvd, where the sun's rays hide between one palm and another... (a truly beautiful moment)...... And so we continue along Sunset Boulevard and find ourselves in the thick of the street and savour more and more the real American life..... over-the-top off-roaders, the chaos of the Los Angeles 101 passing under our feet.... we are above a mega interchange, enormously huge...... our
