Hawaii We arrive in Hawaii from the Fiji islands with an Air New Zealand flight; we stay one day in Honolulu but then we fly to the Big Island, to Hilo, with Aloha Airlines, with the hotel for 2 nights included in the package, which is really cheap. Here in Hilo we use the hotel's pool and SPA. But then we rent a white sports car whose make we don't understand and drive around the island going anticlockwise; we also visit the Hilton hotel near Kona, for me the most beautiful hotel I have ever seen, complete with a monorail and motorboats with a captain on board that take you to the rooms. Then very tall waterfalls, many pools, sea views and the dolphins in one of the pools where you can even swim with them. We continue toward the base of the Kilauea caldera, and in the evening you can see the lava even better as it flows into the sea.
It is also the time when many tourists arrive and walk on the cold lava that has covered the highway. We return to Hilo, a truly full day, including the sight of some loggerhead sea turtles, which came from the beach to lay their eggs. bye
