An Afternoon in Istanbul

The flight route to reach Oman included a stopover in Istanbul (with Turkish Airlines) with a layover of about 9 hours, and thanks to this we managed to reach the city centre and take a stroll. So we got to see the great Basilica Cistern and the beautiful Blue Mosque, admire the imposing Hagia Sophia, wander the nearby streets, dine on kebab in a characteristic restaurant with a splendid view of the illuminated mosque, and have a coffee, or in my case a Salep, in a delightful patisserie.
