The story

4.10.22 Shiraz: Nasir Al-Molk Mosque, renowned for its elegance, its unforgettable stained-glass windows and a beautiful play of light, being one of the most photographed mosques in Iran. The Persian garden Bagh-e Narajestan and the various bazaars that make up the old shopping district. The most acclaimed is the Vakil Bazaar, which, besides its fantastic architecture, consists of numerous high-quality shops, including souvenir shops. 05/10 - Shiraz - Persepolis - Naqsh-e Rostam Visit to the long-awaited Persepolis, the zenith and tragic end of the ancient Achaemenid Empire. The monumental entrance, the great gates and the exquisite reliefs leave no doubt about the importance of this site, built by Darius the Great in 518 BC, today a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

06/10 - Shiraz - Yazd (5h) An ancient trading stop on the Silk Road, Yazd is the perfect place to wander and let yourself be carried along by the passages and alleys that make up this unique historic centre of adobe and wind towers (badgirs), courtyards and stately homes. According to UNESCO, it is one of the oldest cities in the world and certainly another high point for photography. Overnight stay in the historic centre of Yazd. 7/10 - Yazd We begin by visiting the incredible Masjed-e Jameh Mosque and the Amir Chakhmaq complex. It's impossible not to stop at one of the oldest pastry shops, with sweets typical of this region. 08/10 - Journey from Yazd to Garmeh (4h) In the heart of the Dasht-e Kavir desert, one of the two deserts that dominate the landscape in eastern Iran. Along the way, the adobe village of Kharanaq.

It is in Naqsh-e Jahan Square that we realise the meaning of the famous phrase "Isfahan is half the world". 10/12 - Isfahan 13/10 - Journey from Isfahan to Kashan (4h) Kashan, a true Persian pearl, often unfairly overlooked by traditional tourist itineraries. 14/10 - Journey from Kashan to Tehran (3h) Lunch in one of the oldest and most surprising cafés in Tehran, a meeting place for intellectuals, journalists and artists until the revolution.
