On a 'work' trip I found time to hire a car and visit the main attractions. It takes just over an hour to get used to driving on the right... but watch out for the double-lane roundabouts! Edinburgh is stunning. Glasgow isn't worth a long stop. The Highlands are a magical, silent place, ideal for relaxing. Unlike England the food is excellent and the people are lovely. As is their beer.
