The story

If you are driving towards St Andrews it is worth making a stop at the distinctive Aberdour Castle, an imposing structure that was for many years the residence of a Scottish aristocratic family, the Douglases of Morton.

If the day is kind, take a lovely walk in the gardens and above all don't forget to see the little church of St Fillan's next to the castle, because it is truly worth it.

On the whole I'd say that if the weather is bad and you don't have time you can skip the visit, but if instead it's a sunny day it's worth stopping just for the care of the gardens.
