The story

Elegant, exciting, chaotic, glittering, eccentric — this is....... London. I had wanted to visit this European capital for a while but at that time my English was truly terrible (now, on the other hand.....) and so, in the company of Veronica, who from then on would become my travel companion, I abandoned every linguistic fear since at my side there was someone who would make herself understood better than me. Five intense days, between the underground and long walks on foot, we toured half the city; our hotel, really very central, next to New Scotland Yard, allowed us to reach Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament with the famous Big Ben and the surrounding areas with extreme ease. Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, Piccadilly Circus, Camden Town, Hyde Park, St. James's Park, Notting Hill are just some of the places that absolutely should not be missed.

Outside the city, we made a short half-day excursion to Windsor Castle, one of the countless royal residences. Were it not for the excessive cost of living, which for us from the Euro area is actually too penalising, it would be a city to be lived in even at night with its countless fashionable venues, but in the end it will always remain the memory of a truly welcoming city.
