A beautiful trip in Swiss nature. We were lucky enough to be guests, so we didn't set off with any tour operator. La Chaux-de-Fonds is a beautiful little town, located a few km from the French border; it is called the watchmaking capital, also because of the presence of the International Watchmaking Museum with its endless exhibition of watches of all kinds, from the first ever built to those of today; you can also visit other kinds of museums, including the natural history museum and the fine arts museum. As it is a town situated at almost 1000 metres of altitude, travelling in the winter months means almost certainly finding plenty of snow. Near La Chaux-de-Fonds there are also many other very beautiful places to see, such as Le Locle, and a few km away there is also the fabulous Neuchatel with its spectacular views over the lake.
Furthermore, going a little further (about an hour and a half by car) you can reach the beautiful Thun.
