The story

Ryanair from Trapani offers the direct flight to Stockholm for about 150 euros, but from Syracuse I prefer to pay a little more and leave from Catania via Rome on the way out, and via Frankfurt on the way back (various airlines, a choice made on Opodo); moreover you land at the more convenient Arlanda airport, connected by fast train to Stockholm (in 20 minutes, 40km, for about 15 euros one way). With 370 euros each I even manage to get a double room in a hotel near the station (and by near I mean that from the sidewalk where you touch down as soon as you get off the train, you just take the station's secondary exit... turn your gaze to the left, and the adjacent door, just 3 or 4 metres away, is that of the Comfort hotel!!!). This time two of us are going.

The new travel companion, who is a candidate to become a companion of numerous trips and adventures, keeps up with me and agrees to spend entire days around Stockholm until the sun sets (that is, until 11 pm), in search of parks, palaces and castles, museums, moose and reindeer (to see and... to eat), furniture shops, markets... in short, in 3 full days we manage to visit the Swedish capital far and wide. Already at the airport, at the information desk, we buy the fast train tickets to Stockholm, as well as the Stockholm card (about 45 euros, but well spent; they allow unlimited travel for 2 days with public transport, ferries, and access to the most important museums, the royal palace and the Skansen park.
