Three beautiful days in the capital of Sweden. Unforgettable even though it wasn't my first visit to Sweden. The things that strike you most about Stockholm are: cleanliness and care for nature (and in general for everyone). It's truly a place to enjoy the beauties of life, where no one ever seems to be in a hurry and where a smile is never denied. We slept at the Stockholm youth hostel, and for the quality of the service offered it could easily be compared to an average Italian hotel. The city park of Skansen is beautiful, where life in 1800s Sweden is faithfully reconstructed. There are real people in costume re-enacting the ways of living with the clothes of the era. A wonderful outing.
But Stockholm is to be enjoyed freely, without constraints, walking through the streets of the centre, crossing its wonderful bridges and admiring (depending on the season) the fishermen who break the ice on the various lagoons to fish! In winter it's rather cold but never excessively so: honestly I've felt colder in Germany or Austria. In the evening the venues come alive with young people, and the local youth certainly live up to the myth built around them. It's a little expensive, but all of Scandinavia is. Honestly, compared with Finland or Norway the cost of the trip seems acceptable to me, while I'd call it cheap compared with neighbouring Denmark.
