Day 11 May 2010
It stands at 1,131 m above sea level, but the height is hardly noticeable. The birthplace of Santa Teresa, in every corner you feel the presence of the great mystic. The town walls are characteristic, with Roman origins, although the construction of the current ones dates back to the end of the 11th century, along with its Gothic cathedral and many wonderful views, especially when walking the round walk (the high walk along the walls). We stop in the large, quiet and free tourist car park located beside the walls, behind the civil guard station, well signposted and impossible to miss.
