I'm sorry I can't post photos but in 2002 I didn't have a digital camera yet.:-( That said, let's talk a little about this beautiful city. We stayed in a hotel near the metro stop, Atocha. Very elegant, I must say. Since I had taken Picasso and his Guernica to my school-leaving exam, we went straight to the Prado museum to see that masterpiece. It's quite another thing to admire a painting when you know all the details. We also went to see the Santiago Bernabéu, the Real Madrid stadium, which was open to the public to celebrate its centenary. We went both onto the stands and into the museum, where all the cups won by the team were on display; my goodness, how many! Let's hope we too, at Napoli, win the cup with the big ears in the future... As the terrain is flat, there are many metro lines that link the city well.
A tip: ask at your hotel where to go to eat a good paella; it worked out very well for us! Hi everyone!
