TAXI (outward)

Price: 25 euros (4 people)

On the website it states that: - the journey to and from the airport carries an extra supplement - the indicative price to Plaça Catalunya is 15 euros

At the moment of getting out (not exactly in front of our apartment) but anyway in the centre - Metro Barceloneta) the meter showed 15 euros and a supplement of 2.5 euros was applied for each suitcase.

The information given on the website is reliable, however clarify WELL with the taxi driver the indicative figure you will be asked, to avoid unpleasant misunderstandings or at least dubious payments.

AEROBUS (return)

Price: 3.75 euros

We took the shuttle service, Aerobus, from Plaça de Catalunya (the metro reaches it). Handy, fast and above all cheap. A worthy alternative to the taxi.

APARTMENT

Price: 480 euros (2 rooms x 3 nights - 80 euros per night per room) Deposit: 150 euros (returned on departure)

As well as having a good location (a few hundred metres from the Urquinaona metro stop), the apartment is cosy, spacious, clean and well furnished. The kitchen is equipped with everything necessary.

As for the deposit, compulsory, you can use a credit card (visa/mastercard). If you choose this solution ATTENTION. The agency's representative writes down on a paper sheet both the card number and the security number on the back. This procedure, in our opinion, falls short of the concept of security linked to a credit card and so we didn't trust it. We therefore preferred to leave 150 euros in cash. ATTENTION: come to a clear agreement on how the deposit will be returned. This will help you not to waste your time uselessly in the apartment (on the day of departure) waiting for the agency's representative.

BARCELONA CARD

After "hours" of study we decided not to buy it. The itinerary we followed excluded any profitable use of it.
