A mysterious island that sits among the islands of the Balearics, but which has an incredible and little-known charm, because it is said that Minorca was the island where Ulysses landed, fascinated by the muses who sang lustfully before he reached the mainland..
Day 17 Jul 2016
Minorca
The following day we decide to rent the scooters, which are the most useful means for getting around Minorca, and we consult the map of the island to reach the island's best-known beach, the so-called "Sou Bou beach". We head towards the beach and with some difficulty we arrive at the beach, the sea and the sun are fantastic so we stay lazing around all day sunbathing and swimming several times. In the evening we decide to have a night on the town and go to the most IN disco in Minorca: La Cova Xoroi Minorca. The disco is surely the most exclusive place on the island. We return home satisfied at dawn, determined to live yet another unbeatable day.

Day 27 Jul 2016
Minorca
One of the most popular places in Minorca is surely Cavalleria Beach in Minorca and Cala Pregonda in Minorca, a place described by those who have visited these beaches as planet Mars. So we think about paying a visit to this fabled beach, convinced that the place was worth it. After about 30 minutes of travel by scooter we have great difficulty finding the beach, despite the geographical maps in our hands; after another 30 minutes we finally manage to reach the red beach. Well, the view didn't convince us much because it is a short strip of sand of a colour orange mixed with normal sand which in my humble opinion is nothing so impressive as described by the tourist guides. The time needed to reach the red beach discouraged us from changing place, so we stayed there.
Despite the not-exciting initial impact, the rest of the day was then pleasant because of the beautiful sea and the many hours of relaxation in the sun. The day ended with a big feast of fish in a little restaurant near the airport between Mahon.

The fourth day was dedicated to visiting Ciutadella, a small town west of the island of Minorca which turns out to be the half most visited on the island by lovers because of the splendid sunset that can be admired there. The road to reach Ciutadella by scooter is rugged, with numerous hairpin bends, but the trip is worth it for the beauty of the place. An enchanting city from every point of view, breathtaking scenery, unforgettable sunset landscapes, with numerous restaurants and typical Greek tavernas overlooking the sea. A must-see... 5 stars!!

Day 47 Jul 2016
fun and relaxation in Minorca
Up to this date we have relaxed in the various little coves of the island among the numerous sandy and non-sandy beaches of Minorca, we have eaten in various typical Spanish taverns and inns that never disappointed us, and in the evening we spent the nights among the clubs of Mahon and Ciutadella. In particular in Ciutadella there is an open-air disco pub called l'Albatros where it is very easy to make acquaintances.

Day 510 Jul 2016
back home
Here we are at the conclusion of the beautiful trip made in the Balearic Islands, we return home with a very convenient direct flight provided by the airline Vueling. Happy to return but melancholic about leaving an island that is truly a dream.
