We came back to see better a city we liked very much. A university city that knows how to use its Christmas lights: beautiful!!!!!!!

Day 12 Jan 2009

arrival

You arrive late but you still do a tour of the centre full of people thanks to the Christmas stalls and the beautiful lights! the Alibi hostel is recommended for those who are easily pleased, it's very clean and right in the centre.

saturday

We didn't know that the 2nd is a holiday in Slovenia and we were hoping that at least on Saturday there would be something open.....unfortunately they only work half a day on Saturday! so dinner in the evening was hard to find, but in the end we managed thanks to Mc Donald....this is the negative note along with the price of the shuttle we took on Sunday to cruise on the river: absolutely not recommended!

Day 34 Jan 2009

sunday

We booked the shuttle the evening before from the information office which is always open, but it's too expensive and there's not much to see.....it's not worth it at all. We then took the cable car to go up to the castle because the road was icy, at least that was nice! the castle was better than in summer because it was less crowded. In the evening the venues on the river offer everything: I really loved the chocolate and the cakes:-)
