The story

A wonderful river cruise on the longest river in Europe: the Volga. Three days in St Petersburg, with six days of sailing and 17 locks, then three more days to Moscow, all by boat without changing hotels. By plane to St Petersburg and back from Moscow. I won't tell you about all the wonders I show in the photos, but above all it's a relaxing journey that crosses the two largest lakes in Europe: Ladoga and Onega, 1,750 km of river, through cities, villages, dachas, forests and timber: a wonder for the eyes and the mind. The best season to visit the area is July; it's neither hot nor cold and the girls bare themselves to the sun. We met dozens of newlywed couples and had perfect weather. St Petersburg is wonderful, with its palaces and canals. Moscow is no less impressive in its majesty. Safe travels; for me it's an everlasting, wonderful memory.
