The story

Russia with my Yamaha 600 The border between Ukraine and Russia keeps us waiting for about 3 hours; you need a heap of documents and taxes of every kind. But as soon as I am in Russia, I look for a bank to buy some roubles, to be able to pay for petrol and food as well as the overnight stay. My motorbike, parked in front of the bank, attracts the interest of some boys and pretty girls, who photograph it with their mobile phones. Evidently a bike like this has never been here. I and the rest of the group sleep in this border town; it is August and the pretty girls stroll by continuously, they seem to do it on purpose to walk past us, evidently they wanted us to make the first move. The next day we set off again; in the evening we are in Volgograd. We visit a site with a kind of gigantic Statue of Liberty, a monument to the fallen of the Second World War.

The Volga river is very big and I ride along it by motorbike for several km until I reach the border with Kazakhstan. bye
