Only 4 months have passed and we are in Romania again. This time with Davidino and Antonello we go near Moldavia. The town is called Galati and it is very different from Costinesti. Here there are Shopping Centers, Grand Hotels, Luxury Restaurants, Nightclubs, Casinos and all the things that the big cities of Romania offer. Two friends of ours whom we met in the Summer are waiting for us and we will spend the Christmas Holidays with them. The city is crossed by the Danube, which is the heart of the city. Large merchant vessels navigate in all directions and the riverbanks are enlivened by the Falesa (little restaurants and various venues). Just a couple of days and we all move to Bucharest for New Year's. We settle into a hotel near the station and here too we go dancing at the Vox Maris.
I don't like the capital at all, we visit the center, the art museum, the Steaua Bucharest stadium but the scene of the children coming out of the manholes marked me a lot. I had seen a documentary about it but I didn't think I would witness this scene live. There are more than a thousand children who live under the ground of the Capital. Finally the big event! A mega concert is planned in the square with lots of singers and groups of the moment, mega fireworks and a happy 2001 This week also flew by but other travel experiences have accumulated with the others already past
