The story

Obidos is in Estremadura and certainly deserves an unhurried visit. The village was the wedding gift of the Portuguese kings to their queens, ever since, in 1228, Dona Isabel fell in love with it and her husband Dom Dinis gave it to her, starting a royal tradition that continued until the 19th century.
