Krakow: a city that surprises with its imposing beauty, made of squares, churches and fortresses. We start from the Market Square in the Old Town, one of the largest squares in Europe, surrounded by buildings of great historical value such as the Church of St Mary with the famous Gothic wooden altar. In the afternoon an excursion to the Wieliczka Salt Mines, the oldest Polish mines still in operation, where salt has been extracted for over a thousand years. They are a labyrinth of passages, chambers and galleries with a total length of 200 kilometres, 4 of which are open to the public. There are also three chapels with salt sculptures, more unique than rare. Departure for Auschwitz, sadly known for being the largest Nazi concentration camp.
