We reach Oslo with our glorious Fiat Uno, which is beginning to show signs of giving up. We stubbornly refuse to listen to its groans and press on northwards. By now it's clear to us that more than the architectural beauties of the cities (Oslo, for that matter, is a very pleasant city), it's the wonders of nature that win our eyes. The journey is one unforgettable view after another. We also avoid reckoning with our wallet and even give in to a few disreputable practices (read: sausages and a jar of mustard taken "on loan" from a supermarket to save on lunch). But in the end we have to give in: if we carry on further north we won't have the money to get back home. A few km north of Oslo we turn around and take the road home...
