Serbia and Montenegro The first time I was in Serbia and Montenegro I was with the grey Ford Escort, Massa plates, that my mum had lent me. That car was indestructible; it ran on any kind of petrol - in fact in Egypt, where I was headed, even though it knocked a lot, it guzzled regular fuel of very low octane. Here I get a flat tyre and at the first chance I try to get it repaired, but they understand little Italian here, and at that time I didn't speak English yet, though I doubt they spoke it either. Anyway, I make myself understood and they repair the puncture. What I didn't like was the extortion: they charged me too much for that repair, and without much courtesy either. Well, the important thing was to get out of that place as soon as possible. In the morning, a bit of fog and very cold. If I'd been on a motorbike I'd have frozen. Bye
