The story
A very pretty city, it surprised me. It seems there is no metro, but buses and cycle paths abound instead. The old town (a UNESCO heritage site) can be visited in one day or at most 2. I recommend a 3-day holiday; it is the time needed to get to know it. Latvian food leaves a little to be desired; Russian or Armenian food is better. Before booking, get advice on the areas: there are some (as in all the cities of the world) that are very inadvisable. I will go back.
