Sicily 2004

A WEEK IN SICILY. Setting off in the evening from Naples by ship, after a long and not particularly pleasant crossing (the ship didn't offer much), we disembark at 2 pm in MILAZZO, where we have lunch in a lovely seaside restaurant (SALOMONE). Then, after more than 3 hours by car, we reach the KASTALIA Residence in SCOGLITTI (Ragusa): a beautiful, enormous complex with a hotel, apartments, villas, restaurant, pizzeria, shops and swimming pools, along with many other sports facilities. A shuttle to the private beach takes about 6/7 minutes. From here we visit many places: AGRIGENTO, RAGUSA, NOTO, SIRACUSA, CATANIA, ETNA, TAORMINA, GIARDINI NAXOS. All day trips. The entertainment team at the Residence were excellent. Be careful on Sicilian roads, which don't allow high speeds.

On the way back we board at Catania on a beautiful ship of the Caronte group, which after a night of sailing takes us to SALERNO.
