I highly recommend a holiday at the Palazzo Paleologi Resort, a property in Piedmont in the Monferrato, in the historic centre of Lu, near Casale Monferrato. In a splendid setting, among gentle hills and Savoy castles, in the ancient village of Lu, Gateway to the Monferrato, stands with its historic charm the Period Residence Palazzo Paleologi Resort, a pleasant holiday place full of comforts, from where to spend stays in the name of ancient traditions, authentic flavours thanks to the prestigious wines and gastronomic specialities between Langhe and Monferrato.
After a careful renovation, carried out in collaboration with the Superintendency of Fine Arts of Turin, the Historic Residence has been converted into a Holiday Home, preserving as much as possible the original features and materials, and today it hosts those who wish to discover its charm, in apartments and rooms in traditional Piedmontese style, equipped with all the best comforts of a hotel. Where possible, the principles of bioarchitecture have been followed with the use of natural lime-based plasters, water-based paints, treatments of the terracotta and parquet based on natural products.
Thanks to its excellent position, the Historic Residence allows you, within a radius of a few dozen km, to reach for cultural and food and wine visits or simply for work, the main tourist destinations of Piedmont between the Langhe and Monferrato such as: Alessandria (20 km), Casale Monferrato (20 km), Valenza (20 km), Asti (45 km). Within an hour it is also possible to reach some important Italian cities, thanks to the various motorway links that connect Lu Monferrato to Milan, Turin, Genoa.
For those who wish, in the evening you can dine in the Antico Monastero Restaurant, right next to the Palazzo Paleologi Holiday Home, and here appreciate the art of good typical Monferrato cuisine, discover the experience of the Menu of the Marquises Paleologi, with dishes and tastings that descend from the Medieval tradition of the noble Piedmontese family, carefully paired with fine quality local wines (Barbera del Monferrato, Grignolino del Monferrato Calese, Grignolino D'Asti and …)
