The story

Puglia is big and there is still so much of it we have left to see. We had been to Alberobello many years ago, but my parents hadn't seen the Castellana Caves and I had discovered that there are so many beautiful towns to visit in that area, so I organised three nights to spend there, with the goal of sleeping in a trullo or a masseria. I started sending off the usual mass of emails to get quotes and, perhaps because we wanted to go home on Easter Saturday, we found total availability and we really selected based on price, features and location. The first night we slept in a bed & breakfast, very refined and created from a series of trulli that made up a masseria, near Martina Franca; the other 2, in a proper farm holiday, where we took half board at a truly advantageous price and where everything was homemade, 4 kilometres from Alberobello.
