The story
Because everything was fully booked, I settled for three days. I stayed at the Hotel Pontiglia, very kind, welcoming and new but weak on the food (repetitive dishes, the scaloppina, called by many names, even odd ones, but always scaloppina). And to think I come here every summer, sometimes for a whole month, and you eat wonderfully in every place (especially at the Hotel Valeria). I'm not a skier, but it's worth spending a few days in Livigno in winter. Out of three days, two were snowy; dry snow that keeps you out walking all day and into the evening (despite the -16).
