Sicily Tour A complete tour of magnificent Sicily Two weeks wandering around Sicily trying to see as much as possible, from nature to art, from cuisine to history, from the sacred to the profane.
For anyone wanting to follow in these footsteps I recommend the itinerary we did; the photos are in chronological order, starting and finishing in Catania.
Very briefly: it begins with an excursion on Etna and then moves south towards Syracuse and Noto as far as the most extreme point (Capo Passero / Isola delle Correnti), then west visiting Modica and Ragusa, as far as Agrigento. A great stretch of temples with Selinunte and Segesta, a stop at Gibellina and then north towards San Vito Lo Capo and the Zingaro reserve; a short excursion to Trapani, Erice and Favignana (Egadi) and then again east towards the Conca d'Oro, Palermo and Monreale. Still east towards Cefalù and then inland into the Madonie towards Enna and Piazza Armerina and back to Catania, from where, besides the city itself, Acireale and Taormina are also worth seeing.
