The story

In Milan we're no longer used to seeing snow... It falls a few days a year and then vanishes, wiped out by smog and rain, by salt and cars and pedestrians.. We're not used to it, because we don't fit snow tyres or carry chains, we can't resist using the car and we stubbornly keep wearing heels..

But if on a rare snowy day we dress properly, gear up with après-ski boots and a camera, we discover that even in Milan a blanket of snow can be enchanting, covering the Duomo, the Castle and other famous monuments, creating a suggestive landscape.
