Ventotene, the island of the sirens

For these well-deserved holidays one goes to the sea, but not just any sea.... you have to go to a quiet place but above all a beautiful one. So you start looking for something that might meet our needs, and you arrive at the little island of Ventotene, a fantastic surprise. We arrive by car as far as the port of Formia and then board for Ventotene; we arrive and immediately park the car, which will not be touched again for the whole holiday, also because the island can be circled entirely on foot in half an hour. The guesthouse we chose is small but nice, and the beach below is free but not overcrowded. What can I say — sea, sun and food, and what food......

after the first 3 days of total rest we decided that at least in the morning we owe ourselves a lap of the island jogging, though it's a pity that when we get back to the guesthouse for a shower we sit down again for a second breakfast of pizza. One thing is certain: if you have even just a couple of days to spare, Ventotene is a fine discovery.
