We go back to the Alps after an Abruzzo interlude (Ovindoli and Roccaraso) that lasted a good nine years. We stay right on the slopes at Marilleva, at an altitude of 1400 metres. I must recommend this resort to all families with children up to 15/16. It's excellently organised both in terms of facilities and ski schools: children put their skis on as early as age 3 in a little area made specially for them. I'll come back to this place for another 3 years, both summer and winter. Even in the summer season (July) it's a great starting point for various excursions, on foot or by car. The local products are excellent: grappa, honey, speck, cheeses and so on. During my various summer stays here I've taken trips, always lasting at most 1 day, to: INNSBRUCK, MERANO, BOLZANO, TRENTO, GARDA, TONALE, MADONNA DI CAMPIGLIO, FOLGARIDA, MALE', PELLIZZANO, PONTE DI LEGNO, PEJO
