The story

My origins are Calabrian, and going back to Reggio now and then is always an emotion.... Special is the view towards Sicily, and the most beautiful seafront in Italy (as D'Annunzio called it) is always wonderful!

from the train, Ionian coast from Roccella Jonica to Reggio Calabriathe railway is often almost on the beach......splendid sea the Ionian......what a sea!!!Pentedattilo seen from the coastlike a dreamlike suggestion Etna starts to appear...Reggio: where the zoo used to be there is now a large park with the Greek excavationshistoric remains of Greco-Roman culturestill some Greek column watches over us....the fountains under the August sun sleep like everyone else.......evocative...the Cathedralon the other side there's Sicily...in front of the Government Palace they dig into memory...along the seafront several statues embellish the view towards Sicilya detail of the huge Reggio seafront...so D'Annunzio used to walk here?!...the Venetian Republic influenced even this part of the Mediterranean...another square on the seafronthere too ART DE FLEUR has left fond memories...centuries-old trees on the seafrontAragonese CastleRoman excavations on the seafront
