The story

Today the Archeoclub of Ragusa sets off to reach the archaeological site of Halaesa Arconidea (ME) dating from 403 BC; let's see: walls built in squared pseudoisodomic masonry - the cardo maximus - the agora with portico and eight bipartite rooms - the great retaining wall 39 metres long - the residential quarters with a public building, colonnade and large basin - the temple foundations on the acropolis - the antiquarium etc.... The fish-based lunch at the nearby restaurant "La lupara" in Castel di Tusa was exquisite. The afternoon is dedicated to visiting Castelbuono, a cheerful little village; we see the castle of the Ventimiglia with its attached museum and the old town, the very famous "Manna" to be bought at the local pastry shops.
