2 Months in Rome (Part 1: The Villas of Tivoli)

Tivoli is just a few km from Rome. By train, departing from Roma Tiburtina station, it can be reached in about an hour. Villa d'Este, without a doubt the most famous of its villas, is located near the town centre, while the entrance to Villa Gregoriana is near the F.S. station. Villa Adriana, on the other hand, is a few km outside Tivoli, also easy to reach both with your own transport and by local buses. One day should be enough to thoroughly visit all three villas and take a stroll around the town.
