Lipari and the Aeolian Islands in general are one of the many tourist destinations worth visiting in Sicily. They are fairly easy to reach: setting off from Milazzo and taking the hydrofoil, you arrive at your destination within an hour, while taking the ferry and loading your own vehicle you arrive in 2 hours. It's worth parking the car at Milazzo and taking the hydrofoil, so you can save time and money. In the height of summer there are no car parks, and renting a scooter doesn't cost much. Walking around Lipari means taking a leap into the past. July and August are the most crowded months; it is nonetheless an excellent destination for a relaxing holiday, to enjoy the sun and the sea. The other six islands are: Vulcano, Panarea, Stromboli, Filicudi, Alicudi and Salina.
