A week of relaxation in good company
Samuele has arrived and he'll certainly have to learn from mom and dad that traveling is wonderful; for this reason, at only 3 months old, he received his flight baptism. We met up with Antonio and Nina (friends from Bologna met in the Maldives) at the Valtur village of Pollina, and they too were in happy company because they've had little Riccardo for only 8 months. The village extends over a vast territory and is located on a promontory from which you enjoy a spectacular panorama. To go to the sea you can take a path (with a lot of slope) or use one of the two elevators that have been carved into the rock and lead to the sea. The beach is dark, a mix of sand and pebbles; the sea has super transparent water and becomes deep after about 7 meters. On the beach there's a bar and a restaurant that allows you to enjoy lunch while feeling the sea breeze.
The central body of the village is, as said before, on the promontory, and there are the main Restaurant, the pool, another bar, the arena, the piano bar area, reading rooms, video room, and all the classic village services (gym, beauty center, etc.). Another area of the village is that of the disco, which is preceded by the only paid restaurant, by another bar and by the area reserved for teenagers (tribe).
Premising that I don't love villages, I can say that I was struck by the quality of the services offered: - the cuisine is excellent to say the least, and every evening a different theme - super accurate cleanliness and staff present at all hours - high-level and substantial entertainment (about 50 entertainers) The only flaw of this vacation was the weather; in fact we had rain the first day and the mistral for another 3 days which didn't allow us to swim because the sea was too rough. Anyway, I invite lovers of villages to see this beautiful place (about 12 km away there's Cefalu, which we visited in half a day) and I'm convinced you won't regret it. Word of someone who doesn't love villages!
