Golden Rome

We set off from Como by car, driving my eldest son who was leaving from Rome for Canada. It was a whirlwind trip because time was extremely short — we had to get back quickly for work. We left around 16:00 and it took us about 6 hours, including a few stops and dinner. After settling into the hotel, we went into the centre. For my children it was their first visit to Rome. The city was almost deserted... we walked until three in the morning, visiting fountains, palaces, monuments.... a wonderful city.... The next day my son was leaving and we had to head straight home, so we had no choice.. and he was so keen to see the capital. We took a few photos anyway, but with so little light they didn't come out very well..:(
