The story

Setting off: our first trip by motorbike takes us into the heart of Emilia Romagna. After about 3 hours of travel and at a leisurely pace we reach our first farm stay, at Brisighella. This village is truly characteristic and rich in every corner, and it also sits in a strategic spot, 80 km from Bologna and as many from Florence. We devote the first day to visiting the village, stopping at the clock tower and the fortress of Brisighella, and finally following the pedestrian route that crosses the town, famous at the time of the patron saint's festival. A maze of old cobbled lanes, dominated by an exceptional raised and covered street in an old fortified core of the village's defences, invites the visitor to plunge into a distant world... by now lost forever. We devote the second day to Florence, crossing the Mugello area on a wonderful road, the dream of every biker.

I think Florence needs no introduction. On the third day we decide to visit Bologna, which in August is deserted of tourists and students. Our first part of the trip ends here, with a delightful welcome and the luck of tasting typical Emilian cuisine.
