The story

Wednesday 24 October, still nice weather, while central Italy is still raining and cold! With the bus that stops beside the parking area we move to the Ortigia district, the old town of Syracuse, with its characteristic Arethusa fountain, the beautiful cathedral, the picturesque streets and the spectacle of the sea. Unfortunately Castello Maniace is closed for restoration, so we go back to the square and end up with the usual menu: spaghetti with seafood, grilled peppers and baked cuttlefish!!! In the afternoon, Noto: half an hour by camper and luckily we find one of the few parking areas, and enjoy the spectacle of the old town: the now-famous cathedral, the town hall, the theatre, other churches of remarkable architectural value! Our trip is drawing to an end, we start buying the first local products and souvenirs. We return to Syracuse around 8 pm; Noto is beautiful at night too!
