21 October, Sunday
Selinunte, the great Temple E, the ruins, the acropolis with its gigantic walls; a very strong wind keeps the rain away, the clouds race over our heads, a day of images wrapped in constant changes of light. Inside the park there are only English and German visitors; we get around on the little trains and a very friendly young man acts as our improvised guide! A little further on we make a short detour towards the remains of Heraclea Minoa. The natural spectacle of Capo Bianco, the dazzling white cliff, the lush pine wood and a stunning gulf; here in summer it's like being on a tropical island! Too beautiful, and to think that few know this corner of paradise. At night we stop at Camping Internazionale - San Leone - Valle dei Templi, Agrigento, 18.00 euros for Plein Air members. After dinner we take a short stroll to admire, once again, the illuminated Valley of the Temples.
For the second year running the campsite's little restaurant makes us wonderful linguine with red mullet!!!!
