The story

Running for the fight against breast cancer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a wonderful initiative now in its seventh edition.

Until last year it was held only in Rome, but from this year it has broadened its horizons to Bologna and Bari. It's a marathon that, besides the competitive side (for the few) and the cheerful side (for the many), seeks to raise awareness among women and those around them to carry out prevention while at the same time funding research simply by taking part in a day in the open air. The event is organised as follows: on Friday and Saturday the prevention village is open at the Baths of Caracalla, where besides registering and collecting the race pack (T-shirt, bib and a few gadgets) you can undergo breast checks (examination, ultrasound and mammogram). To access this last service you must book well in advance with Komen Italia. Sunday is the main day; in the area reserved for women in pink (women who have undergone breast surgery) a special breakfast is organised....

because these women are just that special!!! At 10:00 the 5 km competitive and non-competitive marathon starts, along with a 2 km walk. This year the walk took place in the splendid setting of ancient Rome, the "Circus Maximus". Around 12:00 prize-giving at the stadium of the Baths of Caracalla!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Participation cost 10 euros, donated to research.
