The story

As every year, the Rome-Ostia marathon took place. To take part you must be registered with a sports association. You sign up and collect the race bag (T-shirt, bib with built-in chip, Nike bag) up until the day before at the expo in Piazza Marconi. Participation cost 20.00 Euros. It's 21.097 Km, starting from the Palalottomatica and continuing along Via Cristoforo Colombo until reaching Piazzale Cristoforo Colombo (The roundabout) on the Ostia seafront. At the finish you hand in the chip and collect the "refreshment" pack containing salt supplement, water, fruit etc. A plate of pasta is also offered Participants' comments: "it was tough but full of emotions"; "via cristoforo colombo is endless......"; "the last 2 km are the worst". Audience comment: "sooo emotional, especially when you see someone you know arriving...."
