Hi everyone, my three days in Florence were wonderful. Two nights spent in the b&b Antiche Armonie, Alessio and Matteo are really friendly and very helpful. I arrived from Genoa at half past one at Santa Maria Novella station; after I'd left my trolley in the room, one of the two managers, Alessio, gave me a map of Florence and recommended buses and places to visit; this added to my itinerary and completed it. So already in the afternoon, I visited the church of Santa Maria Novella, Palazzo Strozzi, Palazzo Medici Riccardi and Piazza della Signoria.. I then wandered into the streets of beautiful Florence. The next day, having enjoyed a wonderful breakfast in my room, I visited once again Piazza della Signoria with the Loggia and Palazzo Vecchio, the Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio and Palazzo Pitti..
The last day included a little revisit of Piazza della Signoria and San Lorenzo, Piazza Santa Croce and the Duomo.. I remain astounded by the grandeur of these works of art, by the great number of tourists present, especially Japanese. The ribollita is very good, and the Tuscan bread.. I very much appreciated the streets of the historic centre, the cafés, the designer shops and the small workshops. There was no lack of a tour on a double-decker tourist bus of the hills of Fiesole too, where, however, I took no photos.. beguiling Piazzale Michelangelo, from which you enjoy a wonderful view of the city... I attach the site where I've posted a few photographs... FLORENCE IS BEAUTIFUL AND WELL WORTH IT.
