The story

Not knowing what to do for this Easter weekend, the five of us set off for Lucca. A city that in the space of 5 months I've visited 3 times. So on the morning of the 9th, squeezed into my Polo, this outing began… Having arrived in this wonderful city surrounded by its majestic walls, we spent the whole day strolling through the narrow streets of the historic centre. We stayed in a little hotel just outside the walls, but my advice for anyone spending a night in this city is the cheap "Casa Alba" at Via Fillungo 142. It's practically in the historic centre, a 2-minute walk from the main square. On the morning of the 10th we headed for Florence, and since Ravenna has an uncle who lives in the Florentine countryside, we got ourselves invited to lunch.

After a hearty meal and having said goodbye to "uncle Uccio", we arrived in the Tuscan capital, where we settled into the majestic Villa Camerata hostel, immersed in greenery on a little hill at Viale Augusto Righi 2/4. We spent the evening in the quiet of this villa in the company of the other guests. The following day, after a visit (for almost all of us, yet another) to the city, we ended this short outing by enjoying a FIORENTINA… for gourmets like us it just couldn't be missed!!!
