After a month and a half of the SSI open course, the day of the exam finally arrived... but where could we go, we flatland animals, for a worthy sea baptism? Thanks to Roberto, our instructor, the choice fell on the Island of Giglio.... Magnificent and, above all, in this season quiet and made to be lived. The dive centre we rely on is SKINDIVERS by Sergio & Co, with whom we get on really well and who, on top of that, find us two stunning little flats right in front of the sea... what more could we want? Dives in the Lazzaretto Nord, Cala Cupa and Scole Nord areas are of course not to be compared with tropical seas, but the seabeds are still interesting both for the scenery and for the wildlife (we saw octopuses, cuttlefish, sea urchins, lots of starfish and much more) Three days go by quickly and we have to leave this little paradise of calm and go back to the daily grind...
