The story

Lazise, set on the eastern shore of Lake Garda, enjoys a very ancient history. Its name comes from the Latin "lacus", meaning a lake village. Lazise was in fact a stilt-house area as well as a Roman village, a market and in the Middle Ages a castle of great prestige (whose boundary walls can still be seen).
