When you hear "see Naples and then die" it is really true!..everything is enchanting, from the architecture to the peculiar philosophy of life! Naples is all worth seeing and everything leaves you breathless! Of course I ate pizza for lunch and dinner throughout my stay there and I assure you I never got tired of it, it is just too good, there is something that makes the dough better than the pizzas of my city! Another delicious thing to eat was the sfogliatella, gosh, even now that I think about it my mouth waters again! As for the monuments and architecture, what struck me most was the Cappella San Severo with its Veiled Christ, which stayed in my mind with that sculpted veil that looks like silk just laid on the body...a must-see, as is Posillipo.. how romantic! The public transport is good; I preferred to arrive by train given the high rate of car accidents.
As everyone advises, I too advise you not to show off wealth or jewellery, not to carry valuables and above all not to buy technology (phones, iPods etc.) on the street because most of the time they are empty inside and you risk getting ripped off. As in all big cities, in my opinion you should avoid going to the outskirts and to little-frequented places. Conclusions: Naples stays in your heart for its cheerfulness, its colours, and the kindness of its inhabitants; when you leave you end up loving it as much as they do!
