From Abbey Road in the heart of Salsomaggiore Terme: the music of the legendary Beatles will set the hearts of all fans racing during the Third Edition of Salso Meets The Beatles, the first festival in Italy dedicated to Beatles music and culture, devised and produced by Mus.Ar.Te., the music and cultural association of Salsomaggiore Terme, in collaboration with the Beatlesiani d'Italia Associati. The dream, born on the notes of Let It Be, of creating an event that every year would bring back to life the legend of the famous Liverpool group, is now a well-established reality: the first two editions had proved a great success. Salso Meets The Beatles celebrates Beatles music, art and culture with concerts, seminars, exhibitions, themed aperitifs and many side events.

An event conceived as a meeting between the fans and enthusiasts of the famous quartet and the extraordinary world of Beatles culture.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the release of the Beatles' first single, Love Me Do, the song that introduced the group to the wider public, setting off their climb to success and a legendary artistic career.

On Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 July the centre of the famous spa town will become the capital of Beatles music. As the title of one of the most beautiful songs written by George Harrison says, "Here Comes the Sun": the event will bring the Sun of good music, Beatles rhythms steeped in love, to a beautiful garden city, sunny and full of joy.

What awaits you at the Salso Meets the Beatles Festival:

· A fascinating photographic exhibition of memorabilia, records, clothes and vintage Beatles musical instruments; · Seminars with the most important Beatles speakers and experts nationally and internationally: Rolando Giambelli – President of the Beatlesiani d'Italia Associati, Galeazzo Frudua – luthier, musician and expert in Beatles vocal harmonies, Claudio Gioia, one of the most important collectors in Europe of period musical instruments.

· Concerts by the best Italian tribute bands: THE SHOUT, THE BEATBOX, and THE FABS; · The music contest open to groups and artists from all over Italy, competing with songs from the Beatles repertoire; · The presence, for the whole weekend, of a real LONDON BUS, with a Bar inside serving special beers; · On Sunday 15 July a FISH & CHIPS PARTY in "British" style; · The presence of unique stalls where you can lose yourself searching for books, records, CDs, DVDs, memorabilia, musical instruments and Beatles collectibles; · "CROSS ABBEY ROAD TOO" … that is, the chance to have your photo taken on the most famous zebra crossing in the world, and to share your picture in real time on Facebook; · In the bars of Salsomaggiore you can also taste the Beatles aperitif;

… and many other new features, which make the Salso Meets the Beatles Festival an unmissable appointment for the countless Beatles fans and enthusiasts.

The event will also be an opportunity to treat yourself to a short stay in the fabulous spa town. Salsomaggiore Terme, the Italian capital of Art Nouveau, is very rich in parks and greenery, is surrounded by beautiful hills, and is home to one of the best spa facilities in Europe.
