The story

In the heart of Molise, in the province of Isernia, lies Pietrabbondante, a village at the foot of distinctive rocky pinnacles. A short distance from the town centre is an important Italic archaeological site corresponding to the ancient Bovianum Vetus: a sanctuary where the rites linked to the activity of the army of the Samnite Pentri were celebrated.
